Vampire Metamorphosis II by Takato Yamamoto
Day off duvet day book review: Philip Pullman’s Grimm Tales.
Distinctly average retelling. Pullman makes the point in his introduction that fairytale characters are ‘flat’ characters (using the term in the same sense that E.M. Forster did, I’m assuming), and then proceedes to write some really flat stories. No embellishment or improvement upon the Grimm tales. Read Angela Carter’s instead.
